Here's the first scenario, Basra, with a draft of flavor text for each step along the Challenge paths. This is where I could really use some help from those who can rewrite the scenes in a much funnier way than I've done (while still being more or less true to the spirit of the movie).

What I'd like to do is come up with some way that the flavor text for each step could remain hidden from view until Sinbad plays a card for that step. That adds a tiny bit to the replay value, as folks could play through a second or third time and discover some of the kookier sequences that they missed before.

Those who think they *might actually play* this game when it's finished, and who do not wish to have the flavor text spoiled for them, should ignore this part of the SotSS thread.

*** BASRA (Start) ***

* Event: Eternal Darkness. Eternal Darkness covers the land, lasting several minutes. Jaffar is Winning.

* Challenge: Notice that something is wrong.
Path 1
1) Friends - Sinbad: "Wait a minute. Wait a minute! Where is everybody? There's nobody here!" Poochie: "There's nobody here!" Sinbad: "I just said that. That's the point! I thought the whole town would turn out. You know, there's something here I don't like!"

Path 2
1) Dumb Luck - Retrieve message in a bottle. The note reads, "Help us, please somebody help us! Eternal darkness has come, bringing hate, war, poverty and pestilence! Hurry! ...Oh wait, things seem to be lightening up now. Huh. Well, maybe you'd better come check things out anyway, just to be safe. P.S.: Thanks!"

* Event: Lunch Time! Crew gives up looking for Sinbad and sits down to eat dinner. -1 Sleep.

* Challenge: Confront Jaffar.
Path 1
1) Muscle - Sinbad [flexing biceps threateningly] : "Now it's time to put you in your place!"
2) Muscle - Jaffar [pulling knife on Caliph] : "Kneel! KNEEEEL!!" Sinbad glares, lowers his massive bulk slowly to the floor.

Path 2
1) Muscle - Sinbad [flexing biceps threateningly] : "Now it's time to put you in your place!"
2) Dumb Luck - Jaffar: "The extraordinary powers I possess make me top of the heap around here!" Sinbad: "Top of the *trash* heap, I'd say." Jaffar goggles hysterically, drops knife.
3) Dumb Luck - Caliph [turning, bumping trapdoor lever] : "Jaffar? What's going on here?" Sinbad: "Aaaaaaaa.....*"

* Event: GUARDS! Sinbad's crew mates fight the guards, win, are dragged to the torture chamber. -1 Friends.

* Challenge: Snake Pit.
Path 1
1) Friends - Sinbad: "I need your help. Come here. Nervous, huh? I know where you're coming from. People hating you, and all that. As far as I'm concerned, it all began with that story of Eve. And when they want dirty work done, they really take advantage of you. Like that evil, slimy wizard up there!"
2) Friends - Sinbad: "They say you have a terrible temper...I'd like to see them living in the dark, crawling around all day! Here, come here. Come here! Hey, be nice! Attaboy."
3) Muscle - Sinbad climbs the snake rope.

Path 2
1) Friends - Sinbad: "I need your help. Come here. Nervous, huh? I know where you're coming from. People hating you, and all that. As far as I'm concerned, it all began with that story of Eve. And when they want dirty work done, they really take advantage of you. Like that evil, slimy wizard up there!"
2) Muscle - Sinbad: "They say you have a terrible temper...I'd like to see them living in the dark, crawling around all day! Here, come here. Come here! Hey, be nice! OUCH!!!" Sinbad grabs the snake, knocks it unconscious against the wall. Other snakes attack.
3) Muscle - Climb the snake rope.

* Event: The Princess -- I mean, Sacred Gems -- are in another castle! Poochie discovers Jaffar's plot. +1 Dumb Luck.

* Challenge: Torture chamber guards.
Path 1
1) Muscle - Sinbad bangs open the grate. Crew: "Sinbad!!!"
2) Muscle - Sinbad beats up the guards and throws them into the piranha tank.
3) Muscle - Sinbad wins the Chain Dance, throws the chief torturer into the spiked coffin.

Path 2
1) Muscle - Sinbad bangs open the grate. Crew: "Sinbad!!!"
2) Muscle - Sinbad breaks the shackles off his crew mates.
3) Friends - Sinbad and crew fight the guards together and throw them into the piranha tank.
4) Friends - Sinbad [to chief torturer] : "Now I'm going to throw *you* in the snake pit!" Bald Chef: "No, throw him in the piranha tank!" Viking Warrior: "We could always put him on the rack! Hahaha!!" Chief torturer: "Uhhhhhh..." [faints]

Path 3
1) Dumb Luck - The snake rope breaks. Sinbad barely catches onto ledge with his fingers.
2) Friends - Prince Ali takes advantage of the distraction to kick one guard into the piranha tank.
3) Muscle - Sinbad bangs open the grate, knocking two guards flat.
4) Dumb Luck - The chief torturer charges at Sinbad, trips, and falls headlong into the snake pit.

* Event: Regroup and set sail. We can always rescue Princess Alina later, if we remember to. +1 Friends, +1 Muscle.

* Challenge: Legions of the Dead.
Path 1
1) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die, Legions of the Dead!"
2) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die some more, Legions of the Dead!"
3) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die, Captain of the Dead!"
4) Muscle - Sinbad: "Go back where you came from, you filthy, evil spirit!" [squishes the Evil Heart]

Path 2
1) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die, Legions of the Dead!"
2) Friends - Viking Warrior: "Arrrrrrrr!! Hahahaha!!"
3) Friends - Prince Ali: *clang* *clang* *cling* *clang* *stab*
4) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die, Captain of the Dead!"
5) Muscle - Sinbad: "Go back where you came from, you filthy, evil spirit!" [squishes the Evil Heart]

Path 3
1) Muscle - Sinbad: "Die, Legions of the Dead!"
