As someone else mentioned, if you can find a friend who can pay for a Bitpass card, you can have that friend do it and send payment of some kind to the friend.

But it seems to be that option #1 would be sensible and trivially easy to accomplish, so what's the problem? Credit cards are only bad if you abuse them. Having a credit card can actually be a good thing even if you never use it, because it will build your credit rating, which will undoubtedly come in handy when you want to buy a house or a car.
