Some people can compartmentalize their lives, make work a separate thing that affects nothing else. They can deal with hating their jobs because it's just "work" to them. I am not one of those people. However, at this point I can deal with a job I don't like by saying "it's just a temporary (summer, for me) job; I need the money and this won't last forever." I couldn't do that with a career, but I can with the jobs I've had in the past.

On the other hand, I do think it's important, even with a temporary job or one early in life, to find at least a small aspect of it that is rewarding.
