Its legs were about 1" long, and the body was about 1/4" by 3/4", brown in the middle with yellow stripes on the long sides. It looked a little bit fuzzy. We live in New England, if that helps. Has anyone seen a spider like this before? I never had, which is why I'm really curious what it is. Any help is much appreciated!

Was the head bigger than the hinder or the other way around? A larger head (often with large eyes) usually denotes a hunting spider while a spider with a large posterior is probably a web-builder.
