These past couple of weeks, as I was missing the Forum, I went back to a doll collector's bulletin board which I used to visit quite a lot before I found RinkWorks. It was quite a nice place way back when, with lots of friendly folks (though there were always the troublemakers) and pleasant posts. Now, it's a so-so place with unnecessary backbiting, anonymus posters, and shallow messages. People there apologize when they feel strongly about something. The webmistress even had to put up a notice disallowing discussion of politics, things got so uncontrollable.

But on second thought, I don't think that bulletin board has changed at all. I have, and this place has done that. Just a thanks, Sam, for running such a quality operation here.

And, man, am I glad I don't think that "nm" in the title line is an appropriate way to end a post any more.
