Alack for poor Wolfie! I miss her too. But little Issy-poo is still around. I just don't have the privacy to carry on chat conversations at work; anyone walking through our part of the office can pretty much see exactly what I'm doing. I guess I should pop in during an evening sometime, huh? The "married life" excuse only goes so far, really.

You know the weird thing? When I contemplate posting to RinkWorks, I usually realize that I have nothing interesting to say. (In one sense, it's a pretty cool and unusual thing for a web site to have such self-policing among its posters, I guess.) But my next thought is, do I *really* have nothing interesting to say, or am I just being intellectually lazy and avoiding the mental work it takes to take some thoughts and put them together in a post-worthy manner? If I'm going to be honest, more often than not it's probably the latter, which sort of scares me. I don't want to let atrophy the ability to formulate a well-considered idea. But my usual message board activity (elsewhere) is more or less just "coasting" as far as the level of brainpower it requires. RinkWorks is the whetstone I'm avoiding.

But I *am* still around, at least a few times a week, if that makes you happy. :-)

Iss "duhhh..." achar
