Egads. My spider phobia is nearly a nervous disorder. Just thinking about becoming a spider sorter makes me twitch. It's funny 'cause the ones I'm most terrified of are the icky pale spiders--the ones that aren't even that big. They just seem more evil* to me. Not that I think spiders are evil. They're just animals. But they seem evil (and I decided this before reading ANY Tolkein books). I realize this is a digression. But I had to comment.
