I remember when we were the only family in the neighborhood who had an Atari. Kids would come by to watch us play Space Invaders, but most of them were afraid to touch it. It took a long time to get the knack of it, but when I did, I could shoot down screen after screen of those pesky little aleins. But I never learned to play Pac Man or any of that other stuff. Well, I finally took up Tetrus on the Gameboy, but that was years later. That old Atari is still around here somewhere. It is so old, you have to have a key to wind it up, and the cartridges weigh about a pound. We would just hook it up to that old DuMont TV, connect the batteries, wire in that wooden joystick, turn off the kerosene lamp and play and play. OK, I made up some of that stuff after the word "somewhere" but the rest of it is true. Those were the good old days.
