Would a vitamin work to satiate hunger at least as well as a breath mint does? And yet, while it's ingested and digested, and it's intended to be ingested and digested, it's not treated as sustenance.

I don't think vitamins are digested. Digestion is the process of converting food into something useable by the body. I don't know that once a vitamin gets to the stomach, it goes through any sort of process other than "dissolve and get into the bloodstream."

But I'm no biology expert.
