Huh?

Only thing I can think of with three floors is the tower, and if you reached the giraffe, you MUST have been to the top floor of the tower.

By "visited with the giraffe" have you gotten PAST him yet? If not... wait til he gets bored and you can enter the valley without immediately running into him. When you do that, go NORTH and check out the pitch black cavern instead of getting the giraffe's attention.
