Most people and myself, pronounce it "new or-lins" though there are a good many who say "n'awlins" where they are actualy saying "new awlins" but the "new" is so short it sounds more like just a "n" to the untrained ear.

Of course, you have other people who pronounce it the other way, but the majority of the locals use one of the two I listed: new or-lins or n'awlins.

They also "make" groceries instead of going to buy them.
