Well, I know you weren't, but quite a few others were. Especially Dave and Sam and their Computer jobs. No computer job I've ever gone for had anything less than business formal for the interview. Even on a Friday when the office dress code was relaxed.

Weird thing is, that now I have to ask my office what the dress code of the client is. I don't want to turn up in casual to a place requiring formal. This has not worked well though. I once had to drive 200 miles dressed in a suit to the client site. When I got there, the actual job was a server rack installation in a factory storeroom. It was dusty and dirty and no job to be doing in a shirt and tie. There were two of us there, but my colleague had been told the situation and I hadn't.

I gave my scheduler a telephonic ear-bashing for that one.
