> I have always been the type of person who found it silly to have 20 someodd pairs of shoes, but taking a closer inventory of my shoes, it appears I could get close. Blame it on the horse. You see, I need a pair of sandels for those hot days, a pair of sneakers for most days, and hiking boots for the bad snow days. The rest are horse related. I have the tall riding boots for my lessons (and when I want to be good and wear them... these are the ones I brought to NZ with me and ruined in the nice high "stream" of water that we rode through), short (paddock boots) for everyday riding, tall winter riding boots (nice and toasty warm... it's COLD out there!), and a soon to be added new pair of tall boots for showing in (got some money towards them for Christmas). Hmm, could also use a pair of winter paddock boots, since the tall boots don't fit under my chaps, which I wear when it is extremely cold... ;-)

I think Leen is right. People only need a few shoes (3 or 4 of sandals, sneakers, hiking boots, and boots), plus shoes for recreational activities. Nobody really needs more than one pair, but I happen to have 5. Sandals, sneakers, hiking boots, boots (for REALLY bad snow days), and curling shoes :).

MA"ok, the only reason I posted this was to mention the curling shoes"NGO
