I want to see where these tests are given in the Bible. Better yet, I want to know where it says it's wrong to put a tree in the house on December 25th and give presents to loved ones. Is it wrong to do that on any day or just Christmas? Is it wrong if the tree stays outside? How about if gifts are exchanged without a tree? What if, as is universally the case, Christ is not worshipped *with* the tree in the first place?

I say again, pagan nature worship of centuries ago and modern Christmas are completely and utterly divorced from each other. It's the heart that counts. If a practitioner of modern day Christmas tradition loves the Lord, then this is pleasing to God. If an abstainer of modern day Christmas tradition loves the Lord, then this is pleasing to God.

Romans 14 is the model for things like this. "I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean." (verse 14) "He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks." (verse 6)
