I'm never really alone with my thoughts - there's always a little argument going on inside the old noggin. To paraphrase Earthworm Jim*, I have 4 hyperintelligent brain centres, the workings of which can be listed thus:

1) "I'm hungry"
2) "I'm thirsty"
3) "I'm itchy"
4) "Where are the girls?"

On a more serious (and dubiously enough for me, peritent) note, maybe the better route is not to be alone with your thoughts at all but to discuss them with someone, bounce them off a couple of friends to see where the discussion leads.

In short, I have no idea. These days, when I get fed up I go down to the climbing wall, or watch a movie (preferably escapist pap).
