Well, sort of. It was one of those stupid team-building, confidence-building exercises at school. These are simply the worst idea ever for school groups, given that they require you to do things which would result in injury if your team mates didn't do what they were supposed to. I mean, we're talking about TEENAGERS here.

So. We'd done all the stupid falling-backwards-and-people-catch-you stuff, and all the stupid making-human-pyramids and everything else the stupid teacher could come up with, and then we did this supremely stupid thing where we had to pair up with somebody we DIDN'T KNOW (because, I don't know, we're supposed to learn to instinctively trust random total strangers?), and they would steer you around from behind while you jogged around the gym with your eyes closed.

I was doing this, and it seemed to be going OK, until the point where just as the pair of us sped up to a full run, some other pair looked like they were going to run into us, whereupon my partner panicked, swivelled me around by the shoulders at a right angle and the next thing I knew I was building confidence by waking up on the floor about five minutes later with blood all over my face.

Brunnen-"it was not a very successful exercise"G
