The only really interesting ('interesting' in that every other American family doesn't do it as well) tradition in my family is that we usually get the Christmas tree on my birthday (December 3rd - yesterday ^_^), or near it.

Qua "Setting up the Playmobil Nativity set where the cat can be sure to knock it over is also tradition" rtz
