In my first childhood, there weren't a lot of toys around, unless you count homemade stuff like slingshots. There was a war on and they just didn't make toys.

Then in my second childhood, I was trying to make a living and we were sorta poor and my kids didn't have a lot of stuff to play with. I was pretty busy, but managed to do great things with building blocks. I also taught my boys how to make slingshots.

In my third childhood, my grandkids have everything. Lego are my favorite, but I also played with their Gameboys. They finally got me one of my own. The Big Wheel has now been invented and bicycles have more than one speed. Does it get any better than that? As a matter of fact, yes.

Recently, I have been hearing that the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. It's true. I have my own shop with a drill press, electric saw a king-sized bench vice, and drawers full of tool. I have a shed full of bicycles, and a bunch of motor scooters. I also have fishing tackle, a little pickup truck, a riding lawn mower, and a 5hp rototiller. And a computer! I never gave up on toys, and now I really have fun.
