Winter is still weeks away and I'm already bored out of my goard. My wife called our daughter's cell phone and she answered while walking down the beach in Florida. It's low 30's here.
I emailed my big sister in California and the only weather problem they have is "It's windy."
The fact that my other sister is snowed in somewhere in Massachusetts, somehow doesn't make me feel any better.

I spent two days getting up the leaves in about one third of my yard. This morning, it was covered again. So I'm behind in the yard work.

Two days ago, I rode my Cushman Eagle up the street. It was 60 degrees. The battery was so low it barely started. It needs about a five mile ride to charge it up, but it might not get it until April.

I had to do my usual daily one mile walk on the exercycle. Did I mention the wind chill factor?

It's that depressing time of the year when my whole life passes before my eyes. You know what I'm talking about; walking on the beach in Hawaii, walking on the beach in Florida, walking on the beach in California, walking on the beach in Puerto Rico. Important stuff like that.

If I go out to get the mail, I have to find my hat and put on that old yard-work jacket and walk out to the street to get eleven pieces of junk mail to throw in the waste basket.

I'm sitting here at the computer wearing a hooded sweater. I'm thinking of pulling the hood up. The lower level of the house doesn't get as warm as the main level.

I just heard the weather report which calls for colder, windy weather. At least I don't have to go to work.

So I'm thinking of going to visit my nephew in Palm Springs. Or maybe Mike and George in the Florida pan handle. Tropical animals like me just don't cotton to winter.
