Well, we'll think a bit on this one. I personally mentioned to you earlier (I'll recap for the home audience) that I judged Extreme Ops to be dumber than the Sandler cartoon. Granted, I had repressed Mr. Deeds - that one might cause some trouble.
Jason X was an "bad on purpose"-type film, so I'm not so sure it counts.
Now, for the rest, I must ask you to keep in mind that I said *dumbest* film rather than simply "worst." And I think, unless it's a *spectacular* Seagal film, the only real contenders are Reign of Fire and Jackass (and possibly the video game film; I've never heard of it). Scooby-Doo was bad, yeah, but it's not really in the same league of dumb as films about post-apocalyptic supermen with helicopters and anti-aircraft weaponry fighting hordes of dragons, or snowboarding anti-terrorists who have to save the world from helicopter drug-dealers but get caught in an avalanche.
So I'll yield Reign of Fire and Mr. Deeds to you, and possibly Jackass (someone with more courage than I will have to investigate that film further). But based on what *I* know of the films, I have to stay with my original pick. Maybe we'll fight it out after all of this year's films have actually come out. We can make a party of it - rent them all and see which one really *is* dumbest. ;-}
Oh, and, as a side note, the original Scooby-Doo cartoons were not horrible. They may not have been fantastic and amazing, but they were a distance from horrible. The later ones, mind, were downright wretched, but the original "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" was decent, as were some of the New Scooby Movies. My favourite was the one featuring "Mama" Cass Elliot, which is basically a solid hour of fat jokes. It RULES. :-}
