Heheh. Now I'm picturing Sam trying to use that for self-defence in an emergency, as he described in his post. The villain bursts into the room. "Freeze!" says Sam. "Just HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" He dashes out past the bemused perpetrator, and a Benny-Hill-style speeded-up scene follows as Sam scurries out to the car, roars off down the road, out of town, onto the freeway, through the White Mountains, into the far north of the state (braking for moose as he goes), until he pulls up with screeching brakes into his parents' driveway, races into the house, up the stairs, rummages through his old stuff, grabs the gun, and we watch the whole thing in reverse until Sam bursts back through his kitchen door. "MUA HA HA!" he says. "I've got a gun and I'm not afraid to use it."

Maybe there could be some cut scenes in the middle of the speeded-up drive, so we could see the evildoer standing around tapping his foot impatiently and looking at his watch.
