> Randy and Melissa were in a really bad car accident on Sunday (11/10). A lady come over the overpass and ran her red light. She hit Randy's side of the car and hit him right in his door. We are both ok but Randy has two fractures--one in his left hip and one in his ribs where they meet in his back. But no internal injuries at all. He wanted me to let you know that he won't be on rinkchat for a while--due to his injuries. Doctors said it will be about 2 months before he can walk normally again. And he is going to need physical therapy also. Hope all is going well for you all.

Randy will certainly be missed - he's a good guy, and always fun to talk to. He has my wishes for a fast and full recovery.

I was in an auto accident myself not long ago - one that turned out to be trivial (a few dents and a broken plastic bit), but easily could have proven fatal with a second's difference here or there. I'm glad to hear that both of you survived - certainly puts into perspective any grumbling I may have done about having to get the car repaired.
