I am not sure if the link below entirely answers the question, as there was no mention made of TOM's theory. Also not sure what you consider fast eating. What speed? I.e. how much chewing is involved?

I can at least tell you that the initial answer appears to be no, eating fast does not kill the appetite. At least according to what I just read.
