Ugh. That happened to our neighbor's dog when I was a kid in North Carolina. I was about nine at the time. It made me sick, and very sad. They were not good pet owners. They treated the poor dog like dirt when it was alive, and when it died, the mom didn't care and the two boys came home from school and thought it was funny. Jerks.
