See, one of the things I like most about October is that we *stop* having summer days. The annual cooldown in October is probably my most-looked-forward-to annual event. There's not really much I like about summer; it's hot, it's blindingly bright, the sun doesn't go down until far too late, and all the kids are home from school. I'm much more partial to the coolness and the moderate light of autumn. And the lack of children. ;-}

Oh, and my anniversary is in October. I'd be in the doghouse if I didn't mention that. ;-}
