My whole middle school was OBSESSED with the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles... yes, Hero Turtles. This was while I was living in Holland, and all our English-language television arrived courtesy of the BBC, and for some reason they didn't like the word 'ninja'. Whatever.

I think the reason we were all mass-obsessed was because it WAS in English, and we could therefore all understand it. And it was semi-decent.
