Oh yeah. I've even seen a site (not mine) featuring a series of animations called Hurtin' Pikachu. There aren't any bloody deaths, though, so... make of that what you will.

From what I understand, each player puts the same number of pogs in the stack as they're willing to sacrifice. Then each player takes it in turn to slam the slammer onto the pile. The pogs that come off belong to the one who made them come off. I could be wrong, though.
