Sometimes you just need to butt in. I think that is what happened to the lady in Georgia, Eunice Stone. (Is that first name correct?) The lady overheard something that sounded like a big problem, and she did what the authorities have been saying we should do: If you see or hear anything suspicious, report it so it can be checked out. That's what she did.

I'm pretty sure that what she heard was a twisted idea of a joke. If it had happened at an airport instead of in a restaurant, those jokers would still be in jail. I think they were guilty of very bad judgment, maybe nothing more. And I think they were rather ungentlemanly the way they lied out of it.

An interesting sidelight:
On the way to Georgia about a week ago, we drove past the restaurant where all this took place. It was packed. Business was good. I guess everybody wanted to see where the "big news" was made. We ate at Arby's across the street.
