I basically missed all the events as they happened, due to being asleep.

Let me clarify. I had worked the nightshift the previous night, 11pm to 7am (6pm to 2am EST) and left on time at 7am. I got home around 7:45 and and had a bowl of cereal to stave off the hunger pangs before going to bed at about 8am. I woke up at about 4pm and lay reading until about 4:30 before wandering downstairs to see what was on the TV. I was alone in the house, cos my housemate had gone to work. I idly lay back on the sofa and flicked on the remote for the TV. I recall that to my suprise, it was a news bulletin, where it should have been kids TV, but all of ten seconds later, they announced all the salient points, together with all the footage that they had. I remember sitting in stunned silence before turning off the TV and sitting in silence for a minute, reflecting on things.

For the rest of the day I did the things I needed to do that day. I particularly remember going to get my scuba tank refilled, because the shop was full of divers I knew and we had a 20 minute discussion about the days events. The rest of the day was filled with mundane stuff like laundry and meals until that night's shift and the chance to catch up in Chat and the forum.

I do remember thinking that I could so easily have been in it when it happened, because I had been to New York and visited the viewing platform in Tower 2. I still have the photo taken of me standing by the Tower 2 sign, a photo I took to RU3, but that few people there actually saw.
