Not to mention, they would have looked a whole lot cooler, too. Excellent idea, the pyramid thing. I wonder when architects will get their acts together and take skyscraper construction into the 21st century. I imagine a jagged-tooth skyline of tall and sturdy pyramids would prove to be a forboding sight in the eyes of potential terrorists. Even if they weren't deterred by the appearance, they surely wouldn't be able to do as much damage.

Now then, can smart architecture solve other threats, like biological weapons and gas? Never stop dreaming... How about an A/C system with an emergency reverse switch to turn the building into an instant vacuum chamber? Of course, there would have to be oxygenated cocoon pods placed at regular intervals in the walls, like drinking fountains or something. Just climb inside, shut the door, and in a few minutes the pyramid will be evacuated from all anthrax spores, mustard gas, Agent Orange, and whatever else might have been slipped into the air. Yeah, I'd live in an apartment building like that.
