I was right on the money.

I want everybody to know that, in spite of my poor record in the past, I correctly called Sunday's NASCAR race at Darlington. I said that Bill and Sterling would lead early, but that Jeff Gordon would lay back about 5th place until the race was past halfway and then he would come to the front and win. And that is pretty much the way it went.

I was disappointed that Mark Martin fell so far back. I had him figured for a top ten.

Morgan Sheppard started in the back, fell out early, finished dead last, and still won over $40,000. Is that a great sport or what?
