The most insane winter sport in the world ever is ice climbing. Why spend your winter inside drinking hot drinks and playing scrabble when you could be hanging off of a pair of ice axes fifty feet up a frozen waterfall watching the water trickling out from the end of the ice screw that you've just hammered in and fully intend to clip into and hang your weight off of in the hope that not only will it hold, but also that the six-foot long spike of ice above your head won't detach itself and shear you off of the wall in a kalidaescopic shower of razor-sharp fragments.
