The root of some of the problems is divorce. Reduce that, and at least, the parent abductions will be reduced. Don't ask me how.

The amount of publicity seems to depend upon the parents' social standing and wealth. It shouldn't be that way, but don't ask me how to fix that either. I wish I knew.

It's a wonder my sisters and I didn't get abducted. We walked all over town and often walked home from the movies at night. We were walking about six blocks to basketball games when I was nine or ten. It was usually dark. Streets were poorly lighted. I guess the big difference is that it was during the 1940's and child abduction was not popular yet.
