TOA - Drat that rat (SPOILERS PLEASE)

Hi again. Could anyone possibly help me with this rat in the Science Building storeroom. I've read the other hints, and they all seem to vaguely suggest you chase the rat south, but I can't find a way to do this. Any chance someone could just tell me straight exavtly what needs done, or at least give a really useful hint? If you don't want to post it online, e-mail it to iamtheidiot@hotmail.com.
