I recently had an interview with someone named Tobin, a name I had never heard. I know a Toby who is really Tobit on his birth certificate. I believe he was supposed to be Tobid but they spelled it wrong. Or it was the other way around? I think it is a Jewish name.

I've also known Bryans who were supposed to be Brian and vice versa. I wonder if first names or middle names get mixed up more. A person at a local radio show mentioned that his middle name was supposed to be Brian but his mom accidentally noted it incorrectly and he is officially middle named--Brain.
