This is the first time I've posted about Murkon's Refuge - when I'm stuck I see if anyone else has posted on the same thing rather than clog up the message board unnecessarily...
But:
On levels 8 & 9 I can kill everything I'm finding, but I can't get through the locked door on 8, or up the corridor where you suddenly jump backwards every time you try to get through. Therefore I also can't get to the non-public section of level 9. Also can't find the other half of whatever I need to get to 10. (Yes I did find the chute).
I read on a posting that I need something from level 7, but I'm pretty certain that I've been everywhere there. This is probably the same question, but where is the Leviathan hiding?
(Status of my party - 3 pretty fast Assassins, plus 3 spellcasters who have every single available spell at least once between them.)
Some thoughts:
My Halfling Assassin is pretty strong and fast now, so I was thinking - How does a Halfling take out 7 or 8 Giant-type things in one turn? Does she bite their legs off? Or can she fly - I'm thinking Yoda in 'Attack of the Clones' here. Oh no! I'm being attacked by a flying Muppet!
Also, it's pretty convenient that all the equipment appears to be 'One size fits all (species)'. It would be a bit awkward if you found an item that was a cloak if you put it on a Halfling, but only a collar on a Troll.
Is the TELEPORT spell really random? If so, wouldn't it land my party in walls occasionally? Or into a private area of the level they were in?
