If only government spending was thrifty. I know of a government agency that allotted a few thousand dollars for a desk that could be found easily at a cheaper price elsewhere, and at the same time I have volunteered at a local public school for desperately disabled and underpriviledged children where teachers pull over a hundred dollars EACH out of their paychecks every year to give these kids the supplies and resources they need.
