Although I am far from qualified to answer your
question (wherefore art though, Wolfspirit?) I'd
guess that you don't feel food "dropping" into
your stomach because the nerves in your
stomach aren't the kind that report "touch"
sensations to the brain. I think this is a good
thing, because it'd feel really weird if they did.

Your brain does receive nerve impulses from
your stomach, though. It's called "hunger."
