Another reason I am against biblical literalism. Geeez.
If anyone who has been interested in this thread can find the short story "Ideas Die Hard" by Isaac Asmov, I'd recommend reading it. It was first published in the October 1957 issue of the magazine Galaxy Science Fiction, and I found it in the book called The Winds of Change... and Other Stories. The story deals with the issue of a flat earth in a surprisingly and captivatingly unique fashion.
