Belgium Cushman

I tried to post this once and lost it. Here I go again:

I've been in contact with a fellow scooter collector who lives in France. He sent me some pictures from his collection and one of a scooter that he thinks might be a Belgium Cushman.

As everybody knows, Cushman scooters were all made in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1936 to 1965, with one exception. After World War II, a Belgium company was licensed to manufacture Cushman scooters. Cushman supplied them with engines, wheels and such mechanical stuff, and they made a body that was designed to better suit European tastes in those days.

The picture can be seen on page 10 of my on-line album. (See link.) Or if you want to send me an email address, I can send the picture direct to you. No, I don't sell email addresses. I can't even remember them.

I looked up Belgium Cushman in my motor scooter buyers guide and the one picture in there looked only vagely like the one I have. Probably a different model.
