A right-hander can throw it two ways. If you hold a flat rock between the thumb and forefinger and throw it side arm, it will spin counter-clockwise. But if your hold it between the thumb and third finger so that you spin it off the tip of your forefinger, it will spin clockwise. The latter works best for me. For lefties, everything is reversed. Is there such a thing as a left handed rock?
