Some people have boats, some have computers... me, I resemble my instrument.
I'm a bassoonist... we are both quiet, difficult, versatile, tall, and a little strange, and decked out with lots of funky-looking silver things. We are very temperature-sensitive, and we admit to having a penchant for accessories. We are capable of going from mad buffoonery to plaintive keening to quiet contemplation in seconds flat. We are shamelessly nerdy, and when we aren't busy we like to lean quietly about in corners, usually surrounded by books and music. It is not easy to push our buttons. ;-) And most people aren't quite sure what we are or what to do with us...
And the kicker: my hair matches it. A match made in heaven. Definitely a good thing. :-)

> Y'know what they say, "you are what you ride!" ...or something like that. :-) Actually, my *computer* is a pretty good reflection of me (this works with all nerds, I suspect): Mine's a funky lime-green iMac loaded with MP3s and school essays. Its fast internal hard drive is called Mr. T, and its slow external hard drive is called Optimus Prime. It has lots of memory, but none of it ever really comes in handy. It rarely ever crashes, but when it's asleep it has a very difficult time waking up again. My mousepad is a picture of the Tazmanian Devil tearing apart an office. I do lots of geeky stuff with my computer, and sometimes my computer does geeky stuff to me. We're a match made in heaven. So is that a good thing or a bad thing?!? :-) > > -useless"This is almost as cool as dogs who look like their owners!"ness
