As i said in another reply, I hate to see books abused. I take time to break in the spine of all new books, including paper backs, carefuly, so as to reduce the damage done by reading them. I will never crease the spine or the pages.

Regarding borrowing books, I do not redily lend my books out, I have had to many go missing or return damaged. As for myself, if I borrow a book and it inadvertantly gets damaged (as happened this past school year) I will purchase a new replacement instead of returning the damaged one, or if there are notes in it I will return it along with the new one.

Sheesh, some people just have no respect for other people's things.
