It's kinda in a bad neighbourhood. > > > > Is it a good idea to be based in Teralt? I am just beginning to explore level 10 and still based in Kaliti. My party entered Teralt just once, when they first found it. They were horrified at the inn prices, but decided to stay there once because they were so exhausted and wounded they would never make it back to Kaliti otherwise. I still don't know what Teralt charges for resurrection, and I don't really want to find out. > > > > (I thought I'd got over having to pay for resurrection, but no - a horde of dragons on level 10 managed to kill all but one of my characters, including both of those who knew Resurrect. I assume if we all died we'd be dragged back to Kaliti and not Teralt.) > > > > Ekaterin. > > I would do so if you have about 3-4 million gold or more. At first, it will seem like you're losing money, but once you start to have the ability to explore more of level 10 without getting your whole entire party killed, you'll start making money. I went from about 4 million to about 2 million and now I have almost 20 million. > > When it comes to resurrecting, if you have the spell points (and you have a character who's alive and knows that spell), resurrect by spell. It's cheaper...the only disadvantage I find is that sometimes you'll lose a point of vitality. But you'll make up for that as you gain levels. You'll get more points and your stats probably will get so they all are 30. Once you gain some money, you can resurrect yourself in Teralt. I find that it's just a lot easier and cheaper to resurrect by spell. > > Hope that helps and Good Luck!!!! > If you're in Teralt, you'll want to seriously consider only resurrecting one of your casters in the Clinic, and then casting RESURRECT on the other characters. They'll lose some vitality from time to time, which is what all the extra Extra Points are for. Also, they'll still need to stay at the Inn, which is probably more expensive than resurrection at Kaliti.
The best thing about Teralt is its location, though if you're a little patient and you have a fast connection, it's not even all that bad hiking from Perinn to Murkon's doorstep.
You'll never quite get past the stage where you die or get paralyzed. There's always the occasional critical hit, and there are times when you run into a group of monsters that's just surprisingly powerful, like six groups of nine dragons on level 10, or, say, Murkon. I had one party that could hack their way through level 10 and Murkon at will, but they were all around level 130 and beyond, with over 2500 HP each and thousands upon thousands of SP. For good measure, all six could cast RESURRECT.
