GOA---feeling a bit stupid, stuck near the beginning

Ok, I just got the stone of strengthening, and I
can't figure out what the heck I need to do next.
I think it might have something to do with the
shack, but I haven't any idea what to do now.
Any hints?

I have:

Diving mask
Broken free trial sword of failing
Magic armor of magic

Pick
Ticket
Key of questioning

Life preserver
Stone of strengthening
Food rations

Dead fish
Bucket
Rope
