> Aim at level 20 or so in general before trying level 8. There's a huge difficulty difference between levels 7 and 8. My second party was wiping out the monsters on level 7 in their spare time without getting a bruise, but when they tried to go to level 8, the first monster group usually annihilated them.

I was at about 16-17 with my characters except my rogue who was at like 20. It's more of how well your characters can handle them and you know how to kill them fast. Have fun with level 8...beware of the ?1 sphere?.
