Murkon's Refuge: XP, levels, and a few other random things

Here's a little something I read in the instructions:

To gain levels, the character must accrue a certain number of experience points. Each successive level requires more experience points to attain. (Starting with level 13, the necessary number of experience points to gain the next level remains constant.)

So (and I wish I hadn't) I started wondering, what is the number of XP needed to gain a level, when you're above level 13? I know it's at least 300,000 but does anyone know the exact figure?

On a side note, I've completely changed my attitude towards pools. I'd never gotten anything remotely useful out of a pool until today. There was a pool in a corner, I dived in, and got a Rogue's Cowl. And... there's more! the very next trip to that pool, I got a Wizard's Cap. Items of Extra-Specialness are the best!!

Couple of other questions, that may or may not contain spoilers:

What's the maximum speed, and what can you do at that speed? I've only got Speed 10 so far.

What's the deal with the Leviathan (sp?) and his HALF Amulet? And how come I can kill him again and again and again, and get another half of the amulet each time? I didn't need a whole Amulet to get into Level 10...

Isn't there a Leviathan in Enchanted Forest? I always thought it was a big blue flying thing with wings, not a devil-type thingy that's fairly easy to kill.

Is there Leather Armor +3 ? Leather Armor seems to be the only thing my Sorcerers can wear, and it's not that good. While I'm at it, is there anything better than a Buckler +2 , IQ Caps +2 , and Cloth Slippers +1 ?

Sorcerers can't wear gloves, can they?

Answer my questions, if you want to, and know that I'm very (understatement) grateful for any answers I get. :-)
