My mom is a new-towel-every-day person, so when I was growing up, naturally I used a new towel every day. It wasn't until I entered college that I discovered the value of letting you towels dry and re-using them.

Not only does using a new towel daily require much more laundry, it wears out your towels faster. My mom has loads of old towels that are nearly completely devoid of their original colors and all frayed and torn on the edges.
