As for the trip report, It was on RinkWorks a week or so ago, in two parts.

This was my 12th trip to the islands. It's probably my favorite place on earth. There are a half-dozen islands, all drastically different. So different, it's impossible to pick a favorite. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. When I want a whooping big time, I go to Oahu. For sight-seeing, Hawaii (Big Island) for peace and quiet, Malokai or Kauai. For variety, Maui.
I've never been to Lanai, which until recently was just a big pineapple patch.
