Murkon's Refuge: Rogues (possible spoilers)

Why would it be that my rogue can't kill anything now? She has a light sword which used to kill just about everything. The only thing I could think of is that they are level 8-9 monsters. Here are her stats:
Strength: 30
Vision: 24
Agility: 24
Dexterity: 24
Vitality: 25
I.Q.: 24
Wisdom: 24
Charisma: 24

AC: 22 WC: 6 Speed:9(7)

She has a light sword, displacer's hide, Anti-Heat shield, Leather Cap +3, Glvoes of Dexterity +2, and Boots of Agility +2.

Any help is appriecated. Thanks!
